Hotel Villa AoKhanom Beachfront

This hotel is in a Wonderful location. Positioned right on the beach which is kept very clean by all the staff in the hotel. Fantastic swimming pool with swim-up bar. we loved the fact that you could use kayaks for free.the staff were incredibly friendly. Our daughter injured herself and they couldn’t do more to help. The food was also delicious in the restaurant and the fruit smoothies were amazing!

The breakfast was a little bit disappointing. The Asian options were delicious, but the western choices were not as good. Coffee from machine was terrible and there was no tea or fresh juice on offer.. the staff did offer to make me tea though which made up for this. they also made strawberry juices for the children at no extra charge one morning because they saw that we did not like the pineapple juice on offer.the egg station was great though and the massaman curry was the best I have ever tasted. The only other disappointing aspect was the condition of the dining area. It was clearly part of an older building and could do with a facelift. The chairs were fairly uncomfortable and compared to the rest of the hotel, which was beautiful and modern , it was a contrast. We stayed in the Family suite. The top floor was very low and unfortunately, I did smash my head against a concrete beam. I would suggest that anyone staying in this room be very careful

Ruime kamers. Mooi zwembad; leuke poolbar. Rustige locatie. Het hotel biedt meer services aan dan op de website wordt vermeld. Er is een (betaalde) shuttleservice naar het vliegveld. Daarnaast bieden ze een gratis shuttle service aan naar de night market en een lokaal restaurant. Ook kun je een tour doen naar een mooi uitzichtpunt. Er zijn sups en kano’s te leen op het strand. Personeel is heel vriendelijk.

Khanom is nog niet ingericht op Westerse toeristen. Dat maakt het heel leuk, maar je kunt dus niet gemakkelijk een grab of Uber nemen. Zeker met een gezin met 5 is dat wel goed om je dat te realiseren. Voor een paar dagen strand is het een prima hotel. Er zouden wel wat meer ligbedjes en parasols op het strand gezet kunnen worden.

Location on the beach was lovely, very tranquil area, access to a few nearby restaurants a short walk. Rooms were spacious and pool was great.

Bedroom was a little dated and bathroom could do with a revamp. Due to the remote location we were very dependent on hotel staff to find taxis, which were higher in cost than other locals were offering.
