Yashi's Place Sigiriya

We originally planned to stay in Sigiriya for just a couple of days to experience both Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock. However, thanks to the wonderful hospitality of our host and the experience of staying at Yashi’s Place, we decided to extend our stay! The view of Lion Rock right from my front door was absolutely incredible. Waking up to that sight is something special, and the beauty of this place is hard to put into words. The elephant safari is an absolute must-do while visiting Sigiriya an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend. Yashi’s Place offers a delicious menu, and the eating area provides a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of opportunity to mingle with other travellers, share stories and make new friends if you wish. There are also plenty of lovely cafés within easy walking distance, making it a great base for exploring the area. A big thank you to our host for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. What started as a short visit turned into an extended stay, and that says it all! Yashi’s Place will definitely be on my list for my next trip to Sri Lanka. An absolute home-stay returner for me! 🇱🇰

Wonderful hosts. Yashi's husband was so kind and helpful with arranging our outings and made the most delicious breakfasts! We stayed in the chalet accommodation which was clean and comfortable and perfectly located for going to Sigiriya Rock. Lots of eating places nearby and a little supermarket for supplies if needed.

Nothing really. Just a note that this is a homestay on the owners property and not a hotel. So don't expect hotel amenities like a swimming pool or TV, or bar-fridge in the room.! That didn't bother us - just worth noting if that's what you're looking for. There is a kettle if you'd like to make your own tea/coffee though.

Beautiful location set in the jungle. Great Breakfast. Harsha is an incredible host. He organised us the most amazing Elephant Safari where we saw 100 elephants. He also went out of his way to organise taxis for me throughout my Sri Lankan trip.
