The location was excellent and all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was modern, with an excellent shower.
The two plug -in sockets for charging didn't work in the room.
No side plates provided for toast which had to be asked for, as did jam/marmalade. We felt that having only one person to serve was not fair on her, as there were at least three other covers for her to serve.

All of the staff were incredibly helpful, polite and professional. We had been given an upgrade room without even asking. It was far bigger with a much larger bathroom than we expected. The quality of the food at breakfast and evening meal were excellent, especially for a pub. This was a really excellent place to stay in a quiet location, somewhere we would be very happy to return to again.

The breakfast was superb. Our server was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I saw several dogs in there and was thrilled to see this. In the US, they don't allow dogs into restaurants. It i much more liberal in the UK. We loved our room, and everything about the place. The manager and breakfast server helped us with my huge suitcase without complaint, thank you both!!

The pub itself is lovely and the staff were fantastic. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.
Poor sleep due to a constant humming noise, a bright flashing smoke detector light, and hallway light streaming under the door. The room lacked any seating other than the bed, and it felt unfair paying the same price as neighboring East rooms that came with balconies. The bathroom was very cramped with no surface space for toiletries, a broken shower gel dispenser, and no conditioner. Lastly, breakfast lacked basic continental options like fruit or cereal to accompany the hot food.
