Welcome to this warm and welcoming apartment. As you arrive, you'll have the convenience of a private, off-street parking space. Step inside to discover an inviting apartment brimming with tasteful furnishings and thoughtful touches.

The entrance leads into the open kitchen-dining-living area, the space inclusive of a European laundry. The kitchen is fully equipped with essential amenities, cookware and modern appliances. Enjoy your meals at the island bench seating or the 4-seater dining suite.

The living room is bathed in natural light, creating a warm and relaxing vibe. Kick back and soak up the sunshine, or unwind with a movie on the Smart TV. The sofa conveniently folds out as a double bed, providing an additional sleeping arrangement for guests.

Leading off the living area, you'll find the bedroom featuring a comfy queen bed, a built-in wardrobe for your belongings, TV and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Neighborhood

The stunning suburb of West Launceston is extremely special and unique, combining residential elements with the best of Tasmania’s beautiful wilderness. Burrowed in the rolling hills are the original, federation style homes, many of which have been sympathetically renovated, carefully integrating modern touches, whilst maintaining their original designs and charm. The suburb's lovely location overlooks the Launceston Valley, boasting spectacular city views from all angles. Whether you are enjoying the warm, morning sun, or the beautiful starry skies and city lights, West Launceston provides the perfect space for you to relax and experience the best that Launceston has to offer.

There is an IGA supermarket found within West Launceston to cater to all your grocery needs, along with the delicious Cuccina Cafe, providing beautiful breakfast and lunch options to you throughout your stay.

The Cataract Gorge is found right at your doorstep. Here you will find a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift, a play area, BBQ’s and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations. The Gorge Restaurant serves lunch and dinner in an intimate dining setting. Choose to dine inside next to the fireplace, or sit amongst the fresh Tasmanian wilderness and wildlife in the alfresco dining area.

Whilst visiting, we would recommend visiting the Duck Reach Power Station, Australia’s first publicly-owned hydro-electric power station.

West Launceston is walking distance to Launceston’s city centre, although it is quite the hill. Within the city, you will have access to many tasty cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques and a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs. There are many local parks dotted throughout the city including Princes Square, full of historical fountains, and the City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys.

Getting Around

To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:

METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.

FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. INTERCITY BUS SERVICE: Tasmania has you covered with a variety of intercity bus services to make your city-to-city travels a breeze. If you're in the North West region, which includes Burnie, Wynyard, Devonport, and more take a peek at the 'MerseyLink' bus service website for their timetables. If you're heading to or from Launceston and the southern spots like Hobart, make sure to swing by the 'Kinetic' website. Please note that 'Kinetic' has you covered for some routes to and from Devonport as well.

ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!

Mind your step inside which leads from the entry to the kitchen-dining space and the exterior step to the right-hand-side of the apartment.

The second sleeping arrangement is a fold-out sofa bed in the living room.
