Goin’ Coastal is a lovely little second row house. The view of the ocean and the beach is outstanding, and the back deck is perfect for those of us who are past our prime, but still love an occasional beach week. We had sunny weather the majority of the week, but several days were very hot, because there was no ocean breeze at all. I don’t know if that is an anomaly on Dauphin Island, or not, but it does make the day less comfortable. The house was fine, but I would suggest new cookware and a vacuum. Also, the sand on the right side of the driveway near the house is too deep for a small car. My grandsons had to pull my Acura out at checkout. Just be careful where you park.

We really enjoyed the location of this home and the host communicated very well. It was so nice to be very close to the beach, especially with the kids! The home could use a deep clean and some decor updates - the shower curtains are a bit cheap, the tv in the kids room doesn't work, some touch up paint, the back deck could be stained - but it was overall a very nice stay and we enjoyed our first visit to Dauphin Island. We enjoyed the view of the beach. Easy access close to house. Our dogs liked the large deck to run on.
