Mazeed Balad is a sublime oasis of quiet, stylish and elegant calm in the sea of chaos and noise that is downtown Cairo. Our room was probably one of the best I've ever stayed in. Quiet, comfy, and beautifully appointed and finished. The staff are charming, helpful and efficient. Breakfast, once it arrived, was delicious and worth the wait. The hotel offers 2 choices; a continental breakfast and an oriental (read Egyptian) breakfast. Both are delicious and plentiful. Probably one of the best boutique hotels in the world.
There is nothing to not like.

Good room and comfortable
Pleasant staff
For a very expensive hotel, it has few hotel facilities- nowhere to sit, no dedicated bar.
TERRible breakfast which included leftovers from previous day. The room was comfortable though no closely door on the toilet. It felt like a fashionable rooftop bar with rooms rather than a luxury hotel
