Boudha Mandala Hotel

The staff was fabulous! The owner Mark was very helpful in making recommendations. Dikshya and the rest of the staff were so kind , patient, and helpful. The location was fabulous , just steps away from the Boudha Stupa. The whole area felt very safe because it is actually behind the Boudha gate. Many monks walking around due to four monastaries surrounding the stupa. I was staying in the apartment with an incredible view of Boudha Stupa. The restaurant downstairs has a wonderful breakfast menu. I recommend the egg with avocado and beetroot on toast. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The only tricky part is that taxis can't pull right up to the hotel until after 8pm because it's behind the gate. But the staff actually met my taxi at the gate and walked with me. It's only 2 minutes, but could be tricky to navigate the first time.

From my landing at the airport they already wrote me welcome message, I felt like going home and so safe, not like hotel. Hotel is new, modern infused in Spirituality. Hotel stuff from reception, kitchen, top management and security very humble and dedicated, its seem that they are not working but loving so much and so dedicated in what they are doing. I Love my breakfast when I asked in the room. I could say one of the best coffe in the world they have. Kitchen and caffe is working whole day, so tasty, healthy and delicious, all cooked fresh. They have laundry also. Modern and well equipped room with taste of Nepal, Boudha Stuppa is just 1 min in front of your eyes. I left my language when I was on tour for two weeks, they helped all the time to find taxi or bus I asked, area is perfect like central, so from here I was roaming all Kathmandu around 12 km distance.. I upgraded my room to Boudha stuppa view, and also extended my stay, its around month I was staying here, so almost I have tried all range of rooms. They have from simple to luxury - any of room was perfect. Highly recommended, you come here and feel like your soul home, you will find all you need.! Thank you for you devotion!

Nothing bad - just be noted, if you are extremely sensitive to sounds, asked them room other side, but overall area is very quite, cuz Boudha stuppa close at 22:00. This is why I choose not Thamel. Thamel is extremely tourist area over night.
