The property was lovely, good location and clean. However, one of the lads left their trainers (expensive ones too). I rang Holidays Cottages and they sent me the Host's details. I rung the host who returned my call later in the day. I mentioned the trainers and she advised they had been thrown in the bin!!! The mobile call wasn't great and we lost signal. Since then I was unable to make contact with the host, not returning my calls either. Such a shame as the property is lovely!

The layout downstairs was ideal with large kitchen going through to cosy lounge and wood burner. The double beds were Kingsize and pillows were comfortable. The top bedroom has an en-suite, the next two bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and toilet, so the wet room shower down in the boot room was useful. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and a great range cooker and good sized fridge/ utility room. Plenty of parking, and quiet surroundings on a farm.

Just little things - We would have preferred a welcome pack with a pint of milk for a cup of tea having travelled for several hours, the brownies and miniature ginwere nice, but milk would have been more welcome. Cutlery and Crockery were not conveniently placed and the kitchen lacked work surface which made it more difficult to prepare meals. The step near the communal bathroom was difficult to see and a bit of a hazard. We were a little surprised to have to pay for an additional bucket of wood, but the wood burner did make a big difference.
