Williamsport Grandview Hotel

This property has a lot of potential. The overall outer appearance of the hotel is good. The price was reasonable. The air conditioning worked well. Shower was clean and lots of hot water.

No handle on microwave door (handle was broken off, but microwave did function), refrigerator bulb was not working, room was in need of updates, but it was very clean.

The beds were fantastic

The lighting in the room was abysmal. The bathroom needs a cleaning and a paint job.

What breakfast location was excellent.

a clear definition of how to use the televisions then again it could’ve been me the user error on my part. So I just didn’t watch it television.

Interior space (sleeping area/bathroom) nicely updated and spacious. Full kitchen - although no pots/pans or other cooking/serving utensils that I can remember (although we were only there one night so not an issue). Comfortable bedding and nice hot shower.

Based on overall rating (7.9 I believe), expected something a little more upscale even for roadside motel. Exterior of property kinda seedy looking. Located on busy road with not a lot of shoulder to get off road and onto driveway without being rear ended by traffic going 60+ mph. And in the dark, even worse. Walls very thin and would can hear conversation, noises from adjoining rooms. Ground level room especially noisy given noise from anyone walking in room above. Heating unit (perhaps not used lately) had musty odor. Lack of dining options close by and no one in office (checkin was contactless) to obtain recommendations. (We ended up at Leo's Pizzaria abut 5 minutes away. Great pizza but call ahead - our walk-in wait time for one pizza was over an hour.)
