The location of this house is perfect for a stay in Duck. It's about a short drive to many things. The third floor of this house (the living room, kitchen, a bedroom) has an incredible view of the ocean. The best we've had at a beach house! The pool and hot tub were clean and in good shape.

Great spot and perfect house for our family trip. Would rent it again for sure.

We had a nice stay overall, with a few considerations for future guests.The highlight of the property is definitely the decks—the ocean/beach views are absolutely fabulous. We especially appreciated having both covered areas for shade and open space to enjoy the sunshine.The kitchen is well-equipped with double dishwashers and gourmet range. The double ovens were being replaced on our last day, which should be a great improvement for future renters. Larger coffee mugs would also be appreciated. However, there were some issues. The grill was not fully functional—only two of the four burners worked - which made cooking time-consuming and frustrating - the place sleeps 14. Although we were told it had been repaired & later it would be replaced or a loaner provided, neither solution materialized before we left.Additionally, the basement refrigerator was not functioning properly. Our milk spoiled. We lost a Costco-sized box of frozen hamburgers along with other groceries we had brought to avoid spending our vacation time shopping. A service technician indicated the issue had been previously diagnosed, but the work/part order had been declined. There was no notice on the refrigerator warning guests that it was not operating correctly. There is actually a notice that states to give the fridge 24 hours to cool. We ultimately received only an apology for the inconvenience.Given the rental cost and the home’s capacity, fully functioning appliances should be standard.
