A fantastic alternative to gringo-full hotels

Incredible place, incredible staff, incredible location. From booking to exit, this place exceeded our expectations. Don't be put off by the attached bath, it's 2 steps away. A lively cafe downstairs that might not be best for families with kids, but they quiet down around 10pm.

150 an hour extended check out was a bit much. Would have loved the usual "if we don't have any guests coming in, 1-2 hours later is fine", etc.

I would come again- great place for a solo traveller

The location was excellent. The shared garden area was a nice place to relax. The WiFi was good. The shower in the outside shared bathroom was hot and with good pressure. The towel was of good quality. A hairdryer and soap and shampoo were provided. It was nice to get complimentary water in a glass bottle with a drinking glass. Although I never met the staff they were quick to respond and helped with answers to questions like how much is the taxi fare from the bus station to the property. When I asked for a top sheet to go with my bottom sheet and two blankets after my first night they were quick to provide me with a crisp laundered white sheet.

I liked the property fine but I should mention I woke up to men’s voices outside the window late at night on the first night which was a little scary. No idea who they were and never heard or saw them again. Always keep the door locked . The staff and food in the cafe downstairs were nice but you always have to remind them of the discount.
