The Goose Nest luxury lakeside shepherd hut in Cardinham Woods, Cornwall

We loved staying in our lovely shepherds hut by the beautiful lake, the bed was so comfortable, Polly and Marc were great hosts and we loved the beautiful, peaceful setting

Nothing

What a perfect way to spend a few days, just wished it could have been longer. The hut was gorgeous. Polly and Marc have fitted her out in such a thoughtful way and have thought of absolutely everything you could need whilst staying here, including a few treats, which was a lovely thought. The lakeside views are beautiful and being able to appreciate nature from first thing in the morning to last thing at night was very special. Just remember to also look up at night ... the stars are amazing. When you can drag yourself away the woods are an adventure, the cafe sublime and sea glass hunting in Polperro is a must. Looking forward to coming back already!

An excellent location in beautiful surroundings. Mark and Polly were superb hosts!

The property was well off the beaten track in a beautiful, secluded spot by its very own lake. The lake provided us with an ever-changing view; the fish and birds provided plenty of entertainment! Inside, the hut was absolutely perfect for our stay with a beautiful bathroom, well-equipped dresser and super comfy sofa. The mattress was heavenly! We thoroughly enjoyed paddle boarding and swimming in the lake.

The only we didn't like was having to leave!
