That there are so many mosquitos

The room was recently remodeled (not very well-but still it was ok looking), with new beds and no carpet. It was clean, and no bed bugs or cockroaches spotted during my stay (yay!). The bed and pillows were actually pretty comfy, but very soft and you definitely sank into the bed, and the bed is very low to the ground. Not what I'm used to at all, but still I was comfy. I believe I was in Room 114. Wifi kind of sucked but tv worked. No breakfast that I was aware of, and probably wouldn't have eaten it even if there was. Water in shower got very warm, but not hot. AC and heat controlled in room, but I didn't check if it worked. Room was warm without me even needing to turn the heat on in mid-October. Laundry room was closed during my stay. I think there are better options for the money. I spent close to $90/night on this room (not sure when "cheap" motels got so expensive). Upside, it was close to Reaper's Revenge, which is where I was going. Also very close to Lackawanna State Park, Archbald Pothole State Park, and Circle Flea Fair Flea Market (located at a Drive-In Theater), which I also checked out while here.

Had to ring doorbell to be let in at check-in. I believe management is living on the property, and was a little rude. Smelled like cigarettes when I checked in, and owner had a dog and cat living in there, but my room itself was fine. There's a sign at the nice italian restaurant next door that "motel guests are NOT welcome there." Not sure if they have issues with the management, or guests themselves, or both. There was a group at the end of the motel outside smoking with dogs around midnight. Not sure if visiting or living there. I tried to say hi to the one lady and her dog, and she rushed past me without saying a word back. No option to check out with a receipt, I was just told to leave my key at the room and go. Door had actual key and only one lock, instead of the usual swipe keys. I found it a tiny bit sketchy here and definitely made sure to lock my car & room door at night. I also went the extra step of putting a chair in front of the door under the lock at night. It wasn't horrible, but I certainly didn't feel 100% safe here either.
