Ye Olde Crown Hotel

Beautiful character property above a delightful pub. Lovely large bright room with a gorgeous spacious bathroom. Stairs are very steep but excellent location (ten minutes from Alton towers). The pub below is a local pub with lots of friendly residents who made us feel very welcome (especially those with dogs). You can hear the pub noise from below which wasn’t an issue and was quite atmospheric apart from the shot competition going on at 1.15 am one morning (we could hear every word; they were clearly having a good time). The next night was so quiet so probably a one off. The food in the pub was brilliant hearty food in huge portions and the staff were lovely. The bed was a little soft for us but we would definitely stay again. Thank you for a charming visit x

Noise one night until 1.15am, only one toilet roll, watch your head on the low beams, bed a little soft

Location as we were at Alton Towers for the day, ease of access and information shared before stay.

Nothing not to like really, basic room which we knew at time of booking, had everything needed apart from toilet paper, only had a small amount on roll and no spare in room, also a little cold but would stay again.

Close to Alton Towers, room was a good size, friendly staff.

Shower is very small but sufficient (I’m a small person). The building WiFi also doesn’t reach to the room. (Room 4) so we were cut off from the rest of the world as there’s also no/very limited cell signal. Wouldn’t be an issue if I had been expecting it. Unfortunately I arrived with my online work stuff.
