The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was large, cool, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a bath, but no plug! They were working on the WiFi so we were not able to connect to it in our room. The TV signal was erratic.
We booked a buffet breakfast but all that was actually available were variations on a cooked breakfast, or Toast & Jam. But the cooked breakfast was good and the food we had for our evening meals was superb.
The hotel is located right next to the Devil’s Punchbowl and we enjoyed walking around this area in the evening. No problems with traffic noise.

The property could definitely do with updating; a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. However, I would describe the property as quirky. Parking limited but safe. Staff go above and beyond, very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Overall 4 stars, just needs a bit of TLC.

So close to the centre of town, yet with the feeling of being away from things. The PunchBowl is just a few hundred meters up the road and well worth the short walk to see the views.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and functional accommodation, good beer selection and cellar maintenance, but had to leave early each morning so wasn't able to sample the breakfast :-(
