Great place to stay on short notice

I started my stay at the same hotel but down the street and unfortunately they weren’t able to allow me to check in early because I was at a different hotel. They said policy says they can’t allow early check-in without a fee even though I was at the same hotel branch literally five minutes down the road. I’m not mad at the staff, they don’t have any control over it… But that’s a ridiculous policy. If I’m transferring from one La Quinta to another, I should get early check-in no problem. It is what it is. Overall a nice stay.
