The room was newly renovated, and the main lobby as well. The pool area could use some work, however. We also booked a room with a lake view and we received a partial lake view and the rest an ugly roof view. The windows outside of the hotel were extremely dirty as well and had not been cleaned in a long time. The staff were friendly.

I would suggest that bars be installed in the showers to facilitate getting in and out of the shower.
The washrooms and bedroom quarters were nicely appointed, fresh, clean and modern.

About twice a year we fly up from Ottawa to visit family in Sault Ste. Marie and we always stay at this hotel now. We bring our small dog, but they are welcome larger dogs as well. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
During this visit, they upgraded our room because the renovations to one of the newer king-size rooms and I must say we’ve stayed in this hotel quite a few times over the years and we appreciated the renovations.
I would recommend this hotel to anybody!
