This hotel was very clean and serviceable. Except for one exceptionally helpful staff person there was nothing outstanding about it. It was conveniently located near the ferry terminal.

A kind and safe sanctuary (Calaidh - is a safe port or sanctuary in Gaelic) in the old world port of Stornoway.
The hotel is fitted out very nicely and also has a nice restaurant and bar.
Location is outstanding.
Near the port - near the downtown (shopping or touring or entertainment).
The grocery store is a 2 minute walk.
Off street parking was excellent.
Staff were lovely.
Full marks - all the way.

The hotel has a lot of renovation work at the moment; most of it is blocked off from the functioning party of the hotel.

Really friendly staff, great location with loads of parking. Really nice rooms and the carvery is a must.
