Motel 6 Cedar City, UT

We booked two rooms and had a small dog with us. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the room was for a two-star hotel. We were only staying one night as we passed through Utah after visiting Yellowstone. The service at the front desk was very excellent. They were able to accommodate our request for adjoining rooms which was amazing. They offer free coffee and hot tea at the lobby which was nice in the morning. We were a bit turned off by the tailgaters partying in the parking lot, playing loud music, and smoking marijuana. They had two big dogs which scared our small dog when we attempted to walk up to the door. A couple other negatives about this hotel were the flying gnats in one of the rooms. We think it was due to the temporary A/C unit that was in the room. The gnats were all over the ceiling and in the morning they were all over the bathroom counter. The other negative aspect was not providing shampoo. They only had bar soap in their bathrooms. Other than those things we felt it was a nice place for a Motel 6 which really surprised us as we had never stayed at a Motel 6 before and have only ever heard not so good things about this hotel name.

Clean and friendly staff Quiet and convenient location

This was pet friendly - although there was someone in the neighboring room who banged on the walls to make the dog bark, then called the front desk complaining. We know it was him because right after we hung up the phone after talking to the front desk, it rang in his room. There is no shampoo in the bathroom, and no mini fridge in the room, but the room was very clean, and they gave us free early check-in. The biggest plus was not being charged per dog/per night. It saved us a lot of money staying here.

This is such a friendly property and clean we stay here everytime with come to visit our son at SUU. I won’t stay anywhere else. They are even so nice to my dog as well. Anything extra we needed the staff is very accommodating and would help us.
