El Rey Court

El Rey is a beautiful property that truly encourages you to take life slow and relax. The room was very spacious and well decorated, and the amenities were great. They have a food truck where you can grab a bite to eat in the mornings if you’re not wanting to go far, and a large lawn where you can sit and enjoy the serene environment. Overall a very nice stay and I will definitely be coming back to this hotel the next time that I’m in Santa Fe.

We had room 14 which is a large King room with a seperate living room and a small single bed in an alcove (no door) off the living space. King bedroom was large with a small (emphasis on small) private courtyard with a bistro table and 2 chairs. Bathroom was large and nice. The bathroom did have an exhaust fan which is a big plus, as many hotel rooms omit this convenience these days. The property is very nice and gives the vibe of vintage travel from the 40's and 50's. The pool is very nice! There is definitely a community vibe here with guests enjoying the many outdoor courtyards for casual dining and coffee. There is a group of college age guys that prepare gourmet pizzas at the main courtyard on Sunday evenings. The pizzas are delicious. There is a bar and Permanent food truck for breakfast and lunch on the property. If you are looking for a throwback experience to the heyday of travel, the El Rey is the place!

Lovely room with a double sink in the bathroom. We had a single queen bed and our room had an extra little sitting room with a nice Tivoli radio. Parking in front of our room reserved by the security since the bar/lounge has music and gets busy in the evening. The bar has good drinks and wine list. The taco truck had delicious tacos and breakfast. Staff were super nice. We didn’t use the pool or spa but if we were there in warmer weather we would have. The bar closes at 11 and some of the patrons were a bit chatty outside our room both nights. Perhaps some signage to remind folks to be mindful? We definitely would stay again.
