Friendly staff, very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Daily breakfast was great - local food (rice and beans, eggs, variety of healthy toppings and pancakes), but with other options as well (cereal and toast). Good hot coffee and yummy juice. Parking was convenient, no issues at all there (we were able to park right by our room). Well-organized amenities and property, quiet surroundings, farm land next to property; but still very close to the heart of La Fortuna. Beautiful trees and plants on the property. We saw toucans in the trees one of the mornings. Rooms were comfortable and were very clean. Shower nice and hot (also hot water in sink), worked well. Pool was nice.
Constructive criticisms / nit picks (overall we loved our stay): all of the TV stations on the TV were in Spanish, it would have been nice to have subtitles at least, as it rained a lot on some days and we were stuck in doors for a while sometimes. There wasn’t a hot tub, would have been nice to have a hot tub on colder rainy days. It would have been nice if the fridge in the room was slightly larger (fridge was about knee high, rather than waist high). Some aspects of the decor in the bathrooms and elsewhere on the property were more simplistic or needed just a little more jazzing up (maybe some artwork, extra color, or other simple touches).

15 minute easy walk to town. Pool was amazing. Room clean. Breakfast great. Honestly the pictures and reviews don't do this place favors. It was perfect.
