Breakfast was a little bit unusual for Western culture, but it was probably expected in Kyoto?

Fine basic hotel just outside of the tourist area but a short walk to everything.

Fromt desk staffs are helpfull and polite. Hotel room is small but clean & efficient. However small thing like shower curtain was ripped on top but housekeeping didn’t replace made it feel like a motel. The bathroom had all plastic lining also made it looked cheap. Hot breakfast had good varieties. My friend booked here so I booked here too for convenient transport.
