The house is stunning; it feels like it did 140 years ago, with beautiful furnishings from that time period. Our room was very large, with a comfortable seating area and an extra area with lots of stained glass that really brought in the natural light nicely. Even though our room was steet-side, the traffic noise was negligible. Our stay was much quieter than a hotel room in a similar situation. We didn't see any guests until breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was better than I could have made at home; it was delicious and varied, with our heated food made to order. We were very impressed with the whole experience.

The Black Swan is a very unique and great place to stay. The current owners Trish and John have retained its original character and features. The breakfast is excellent and freshly prepared. Very highly recommend you stay here when in the Tilton area
