The Balavil Hotel Newtonmore - Restaurant, Bars & Swimming Pool

This is a pleasant hotel. The town it was located in had few options to eat elsewhere. They were not open for lunch but we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. They cater to groups but they made sure to reserve us a table out of the way.

Such a great little hotel in a cozy small village. Traveling with a friend and our plans got blown away by Storm Amy. We scrambled and found this hotel at the last minute, which was one of the best parts of the trip. Travel weary from hours of driving, we walked in and immediately received a warm greeting, given our room key, and offered dinner in the dining room. The food was so good my friend and I nearly cried. It reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking. The staff were professional and friendly and they even had singers in the bar for evening entertainment. I will definitely book at this place again when I travel to Scotland and always remember the good time I had here.

The staff were all phenomenal!! It was a last minute booking due to another one canceling on us; But we agree it was the best place we stayed the entire trip. Large dining room, very large buffet for breakfast. A separate bar with entertainment some nights. The rooms are clean, warm, updated and there is a pool. We highly recommend!!
