Max Brown Hotel Canal District, part of Sircle Collection

This is a fabulous property. It’s a hotel made from old Amsterdam houses. It has quite a bit of character and charm. There’s no elevator though so you will be walking up some rather steep flights of stairs.

The property was well located and had interesting and somewhat quirky decor which I enjoyed. The staff were terrific. Breakfast was somewhat limited, but that is quie common in small European hotels. My sole complaint were the extremely steep stairs leading to our third floor room. I would not recommend this property for anyone with imitation in heir knees and hips which could impact the ability to climb stairs. It s definitely not handicapped accessible. The staff was helpful in transporting heavier bags to the upper floors.

Super friendly & helpful staff! Nice sitting area in the lobby. Would stay again.
