I myself find boutique hotel is nice but not practical in some ways
Recommend for foreigners, nice with unique character traditional Thai style. Food outlet within hotel is excellent

The Shinnabhura Historic Boutique Hotel was a gem! It was worthy of 4 or 5 star property with 2-3 star pricing.
Highlights included:
-Rooms-Lana decor & room set-up...the tub in the middle of the room was unique!
-Staff welcome & attendance
-Grounds-well kept & included a free one room museum right above the lobby entrance.
-Breakfast was really good which for me means good coffee, omelette made to order & a good selection of fruits & baked goods!
Overall my wife called it her “favorite hotel in all of Thailand!” That is saying a lot when we have lived in Thailand for over 20 years!
