The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire

Well located. The bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms have been nicely upgraded.

Simply cannot say enough good things about the George and the staff there! A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. The room was clean, comfortable and I felt right at home the moment I got there. All the facilities you can expect in a hotel room. Bed was comfy, sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean and well put together given the limited space available. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was no shortage of options to suit everyone. I had the eggs benedict and felt set up and ready for the day ahead. But most of all the staff were exceptional. All were friendly, helpful and really easy to approach with queries. In particular they went out of their way to help me, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this place to anyone and would be happy to come again!

Excellent hotel nicely placed for visiting stonehenge and Salisbury and wouldn't hesitate to go back

Lovely hotel. Enjoyed the room, and all amenities. Only issue was noise from the courtyard past midnight which I reported as people were outside my room window talking late.
