This property is absolutely beautiful!! The only thing I’d change is the length of our stay. We only had one night…I’d have loved to stay a month! Check-in/out was ridiculously easy, suite was clean and so comfy, and the landscape is stunning! For real…pure magic!! Cannot wait to get back to the island for another visit! Our stay at Gingerhill Farm Retreat was a unique and grounding experience. We stayed in the Bamboo cabin with an outdoor kitchen, shower, and sink, all supplied with propane and warm water, along with a clean compost toilet. The space was designed as an open lanai, allowing for natural cross-ventilation. We never needed the fan. The cabin was surrounded by lush vegetation, with the sounds of the jungle creating a vivid atmosphere at night and in the early morning. The common areas include a terrace overlooking the ocean beyond the tree line, offering beautiful sunset views. The staff was attentive and supportive throughout our stay. We also had the honor of meeting the owner, Ms. Mayumi Oda, often referred to as the “Matisse of Japan,” whose vision promotes healthy living and environmental awareness. This experience offered a rare balance between natural living and everyday comfort. It felt less like a stay and more like an immersion into a different way of being.

Lovely little cottage where i could feel surrounded by nature and listen to the frogs sing me to sleep! Beats a corporate hotel every time! Would absolutely stay here again!
