Mansion San Miguel

Absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were all very kind and helpful. Property and room was clean and beautiful. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it!!

We loved our stay at the Mansion. Jorge could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. He is truly an amazing host. The property feels so authentic and is a beautiful old villa. We stayed in the only room with a terrace which was big and had a great view out over the old town with mountains in the distance. It is a no frills place in a way, but has everything we needed. Breakfast had delicious fruit, yogurt, and homemade bread, with yummy Huevos Mexicanos to order for extra fee. Room was spacious with comfy bed. Staff could not be more helpful. For those who don't like walking uphill, you can take a green/white taxi for a small fee or get a lot of exercise walking straight up from the center of town - about 10 minutes downhill, longer climbing back up. It was close to shopping streets and 10 minutes from the beautiful park Juarez. Not for everyone who needs a fancy hotel, but we loved the character, charm, and feeling of being treated like we were at home.

It is up a steep hill so plan on that. Only 10 - 15 minutes from cetral plaza. The slight remoteness keeps it quieter in terms of street traffic. The view from the roof is fabulous. Did not eat continental breakfast as there are many close by restrarants serving local Mexican style. The staff are great! If you can do walking stay here!
