Friendly and very helpful staff throughout, which made everything easy.
Good breakfast and dinner, a nice canal-side room, and about as convenient as it gets for the station.

Enjoyed our room although the shower was somewhat temperamental - bath worked perfectly but shower was all pressure or a dribble

Delightful linens, food, ales, garden... and the staff are wonderful. A hidden gem that is a beautiful getaway easily accessible by car or railroad - or indeed on the Kennet by boat!

Our room was clean and comfortable with patio doors opening out to a decking beside the canal, The bed was so comfortable we didn’t manage to get up in time for breakfast. The bar was well stocked and inviting, the staff were excellent and friendly.
