An interesting, slightly quirky but genuine old-style coaching house and all the better for it. Staff are excellent, breakfast great, dinner slightly more mixed - maybe should have gone for the pizzas. Lively and busy in the evening, nice and chilled otherwise.

Amazing place to stay. Everything was perfect. Room was beautiful and really spacious and cosy. Nicely decorated and loved the small touches. Had dinner which was really good. Possibly one of the best places we have stayed in UK. Will try and get back for a few nights again

Lovely overnight stay. The staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful. Beautiful room with some many thoughtful touches such as hot water bottles and an "emergency toothbrush". Fresh milk for the in room tea and warm cookies on arrival which were delicious.
We ate outside in the very relaxed beer garden - the pizza was fantastic, and the restuarant inside also looked nice.
Breakfast was lovely.
It was v convenient for an overnight stay en route to where we were going, but the only negative is that it is not the prettiest setting. Would definitely stay there again if we were going that way!
