B&B Hotel Cambridge South

The air conditioning worked well both in our room albeit it was a little noisy. This was much appreciated in the current heatwave. The rest of the hotel was pleasantly cool too. Breakfast was good value although a choice of type of egg would have been nice. There was some fresh fruit and a good choice of bread. We ate in one evening and enjoyed our curries. The staff were all very pleasant. Recommended for a short stay.

Lift not working for the duration of my 3 night stay. Room was comfortable. Carpet on stair areas need cleaning. Breakfast was ok. Convenient for Babraham campus. Decent restaurant next door

A solid affordable option for Cambridge. It is located next to a train station with frequent departures to Cambridge or it is one junction on the M11 to a Park & Ride facility, which makes this a good option for those with a car. Cars are a real nightmare in Cambridge, so an adjoining car park with public transport options is a plus. Staff were very guest focused, although they could use a few more of them. The elevator was not working during my stay, a real problem for those with accessibility issues but the staff were proactive in finding ground floor rooms. There is a simple cafe bar with a wide menu of options from snacks through to full meals. The reception and lounge is a good place to hang out without pressure to buy food and drinks. So if you need somewhere to work on a business trip this is a good option. There is breakfast buffet offering a solid range of options from full English to a light snack. The rooms are fine, in a good state of repair and very clean. The wifi is solid and there's a wide range of TV Channels, but I had no mobile reception which might be.a problem for some. I slept well. I will probably use this property again.

Location was excellent for our visit to Duxford. Arrived by train, 1 minute walk to hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Night before our visit to IWM used kiosk in lobby to order taxi for our ride to airfield and back. Not a lot of dining choices if you don’t have a car, but no problem for us. Breakfast buffet is very well prepared with various choices for hot or continental. Had dinner here too and food was also very good. Highly recommend if you need to stay in this area.
