Ban's Diving Resort

Our stay at Ban's was overall good, but with some inconvieniences. Starting with what we liked, the location was the best. Right in the middle of everything and walking distance for most things. We easily got around on foot and moped. The staff was helpful as well, and we appreciated the on-site convienece stores. The grounds were very pretty too. Breakfast was lovely, with a view of the beach as well. The things we disliked were the walls being very thin. Like extremely. We stayed far from the reception area, which meant quieter nights, but we could still hear our neighbors. Second, the pool was green. Like very green - the whole week. We tried to swim the first day but it didn't feel safe. The bathroom also had a bad sewage-y odor, and the water gor everywhere when showering. Not terrible, we kept the door closed for the smell, but unpleasant to be in there. Last, there were ants in the room and a few bugs. It's hard to control when in a tropical enviroment, but not very pleasant. Overall, a good stay but a few improvements would have made it great.

The staff were very helpful. There was an issue with our first room and they moved us to another promptly.

Best experience and best time getting open water certified

We stayed in two different rooms - the Jungle House, which was lovely and private but too hot, and another room on the main property that was very cool and conveniently located.
