The Lamb Inn Great Rissington

What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world.

I almost do not want to review this place because I consider it my American little secret. Great Rissington is a gem close to everything but completely removed - with southern facing views to die for, and a five minute drive to Bourton / ten to Slaughters. Perfect location but beyond that this quaint lil hotel and restaurant is simply what you expect if you are Cameron Diaz in the Holiday. The ceilings are low if you are tall, but for a short person it is perfection in plaid and rich wood. The staff is lovely, the rooms are cozy and clean, and there is something about the way the birds chirp here in the morning that is unlike anyplace I have ever been. Bravo, Lamb Inn! You are one of one. "Country Roads, Take Me Home." -JR

Very nice place to stay for a true English countryside experience.

We had a lovely 2 night stay, in the rissington suite, it was beautiful, had the most comfortable bed ,lovely living room & bathroom ,all very clean . Breakfast was continental ,lots of choice ,we did have a cooked breakfast 1 day which was extra, but was also delicious. The staff where outstanding ,so helpful a mention for Joe the bar manager & also Ella who works the breakfast shift ,they are credit to this beautiful hotel, also the young man who helped with the TV. We will definitely be back 100%
