This place was a gem. It’s small and surrounded by nature but close to restaurants, shopping, wildlife viewing areas, and historical sites. I loved that pets are free. The grounds were nice with a picnic bench and a large fire pit. If I’m in the area again, I would definitely stay here.

We've stayed here several times... myself, my 2 teen boys and our Newfoundland doggo.
The building is on the older side, but decently maintained.
The staff is super helpful and wonderful to interact with if needed.
The housekeeping staff are very friendly and thorough.
The chairs on the top of the hill behind the hotel are an excellent place to relax and the view of Monument Mountain is spectacular from there! If you enjoy hiking, access to the trails on Monument Mountain are just down the road.
Having access to the amenities at The Red Lion Inn is a great bonus.

Unfortunately the power went out around 10 pm and never came back on by the time we left at 7 am. We tried reaching out to staff at the Red Lion, the parent company of the Little Lion. No one picked up the phone nor responded to our message. We had no power, no lights, no water, no A/C. Other than not being able to get a hold of staff our stay was very good.

Quaint location that is loosely tied to the Historic Red Lion Inn at Stockbridge. There is no on site staff so everything is done through texting. You do get access to the Red Lion Inn which was a wonderful "amenity" without the cost of staying there. The Little Lion is a roadside motel with about 14 or 15 units. Very clean and obviously quiet. Was a great home base for a couple of days while we tooled around the Berkshires. Would definitely book again!
