Great location

Location is very good, you can walk to Sokcho Express Bus Terminal and Sokcho beach. The female staff that helped us check in can also speak some English, which was helpful. Staff are generally friendly. The only downside of the stay - past midnight on our first night, our toilet begun to be filled with a strong stench of second hand cigarette smoke, which spread to the room too. We called the front desk and they responded that they would fix it. After some time, the stench still remained and we did not get updates, so we went down to request if we could move into another room. However, as it was late at night, the only solution the staff on duty presented us was a bottle of Febreze to combat the bad smell. I understand that the hotel being fully booked would render it impossible for us to have our room switched, and we also appreciated the help the staff tried to give us. This case probably got surfaced to the management, because the next day another staff apologised, checked in with us about the situation of the room and offered a change of room if we were still uncomfortable. When we checked out, the staff on duty also directed us to free beverages and ramyeon. The staff were genuinely apologetic and tried to make our remaining comfortable. In the future, please enforce the no-smoking rule strictly so that other guests don't go through this. Do also give your guests updates when a staff is trying to fix the problem so that guests aren't left waiting aimlessly.
