The staff was really nice, especially the Bell boy Luis. Gines, helped us out everything he can, especially where to go for cheaper stuff. The only thing is the food, would like to eat more Mexican food instead of other kind, but overall great experience.

Our stay at Hotel Imperial Las Perlas was much better than I expected after reading some online reviews. This is definitely not a luxury resort, but if you’re looking for an affordable hotel with friendly staff, good food, and a convenient location, it offers excellent value for the price. The hotel is showing its age, and the buildings could definitely use some renovations and a general cleanup. The rooms are basic—I would rate them around 2 out of 5. The furniture and amenities are old, and although the towels were clean, they have clearly been used for many years. Still, everything worked, and for the price we paid, the room was perfectly acceptable. The air conditioning was excellent and made a huge difference in Cancun’s hot, humid weather. One funny thing we noticed was that nothing ever seemed to dry because of the humidity! We only saw one cockroach outside during our stay. Since this is a tropical destination, it didn’t surprise us too much, and it certainly didn’t ruin our vacation. The hotel itself doesn’t have much of a beach, but a beautiful public beach is only a one-minute walk away. The sand is soft, white, and surprisingly comfortable—it doesn’t burn your feet, and it isn’t dusty, so your feet stay clean after walking on it. The water was warm, and we even spotted stingrays, tropical fish, and a few jellyfish. There was quite a bit of seaweed, but we still enjoyed spending time there.
