After a few busy days in Tokyo, it was a nice change of pace to be in Hakodate. The hotel is in a great location that’s walking distance from the train station. And also to the brick warehouse shopping area and fish market. We also used the onsen at the hotel. It’s included in your stay. It was our very first time for our family. We didn’t know there was a little tote bag we could take up with us to the onsen. Also remember to bring a towel from your room. I wanted to book a massage but it was fully booked. You have to pay separately for the massage. Rates were very reasonable. Plan ahead next time. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was excellent. They are famous for the seafood parfait with ikura, shrimp, salmon, tuna. There’s also Wagyu too at the breakfast. Definitely worth it for around $23 usd per person. We would definitely come back again.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights at this hotel. It was our 2nd trip to Hakodate, and our first time staying at the Hakodate Kokusai Hotel.
The connecting rooms with 2 beds each provided enough space for the 4 of us. The location was very convenient to the station and access to local shops.
The public bath facilities were great to relieve the stress of travel, and it came with free popsicles which was an added treat.
The breakfast buffet had so many choices that we couldn't believe it! We loved it.
Overall, I'd definitely stay here again - highly recommend!

Only stayed one night but enjoyed it. Relatively close to the train station and some of the great food and drink options in Hakodate. Hotel had many amenities including a shop.
