Cornerways Guest House

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Well situated for the station, shopping and places of interest. Good breakfast. Extremely pleasant owner.

Nice guest house, clean, close to town. Good breakfast the lady serving was very helpful. Only downside you couldn't leave your suitcase in the morning whilst popping to town before catching the coach.

Host was very welcoming and friendly

Stayed here for one night whilst on a trip for work. Contacted directly to confirm booking and arrival time as I always do when I've booked via a third party just to be sure booking had been sent on to them. Owner was quick and responsive to my message. Guesthouse is about a 10 minutes walk from the railway station which was super handy. When I arrived was greeted by Adele who was really friendly and chatty, she explained everything in superb detail and even kindly squeezed me in for breakfast at a time that suited my departure for work despite the slots around that time already being taken by other guests. Room was spotlessly clean, it was the comfort single at the top of the house and was really quiet. Bed was comfortable, room had everything I needed for a short stay and price was excellent for a weekend night. In the morning having had a great restful night's sleep I went down for breakfast, full English was really good with decent quality ingredients, cooked perfectly and a decent portions. Plentiful supply of tea, coffee, cereal and toast to help yourself to. Would I stay again.....100%. Adele couldn't do enough to ensure a pleasant stay for me and I didn't experience any of the issues other guests have reported.
