The property was perfectly situated within Edinburgh. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were highly designed and very functional. The old building, comfy bed and location made for a wonderful visit!

The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. If it were not for them my score would have been lower.
The hotel itself was fine, but I would not say soundproof. Each night I stayed there were ambulance/police sirens that could easily be heard. Also loud music and loud vehicles could be heard from my room. You can’t hear regular street noise, but I was woken up more than a few times.

We loved staying at The Rutland! It’s in a great location within walking distance of most of the major sights. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts and coffee in the hotel restaurant were always delicious. We loved the decor and size of our room. Everything was perfect!!
