Be Poet Baixa Hotel

Hotel was very-well located in the heart of Biaxa old town section. Fun people-watching and access to most everything on foot, bus or tram. Request a front room with a view. Staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was worth the price if you get there early enough for eggs and all selections. Hotel is a bit hard to find - just a door - and car must drop you and luggage on adjacent street as hotel street is car-free for the many cafes. This is fun and festive and can be noisy but quiets at 10pm. Windows have thick paned sound-proofing. AC worked well. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Room for improvement: bathroom is very small, bathroom lighting and counter space are poor. My room had no outlet near a mirror to use appliances. They do provide hair dryer, mini fridge and espresso machine. Curtains were difficult to close without wands to extend to top. Overall, a well-located, nice small hotel with a few nuisance issues.

100% amazing place to stay for a first visit to Lisbon. Honestly felt we had lucked out in our choice and definitely return here. Location: super central, easy to walk everywhere with add bonus of metro (ideal for airport) and Railway if wanting to venture out to Sintra etc. The area is noisy BUT to windows are well insulated and instantly cut out noise. Food wise don’t eat on main stretch as over priced and quality not great. Suggest going to places on side streets. Hotel: lovely modern vibe, rooms have fresh decor and beds very comfortable. Bathroom facilities were excellent shower very good. Staff did everything to make you feel welcome and cleaning staff were super polite. Did eat at Hotel only because being central loads of places to grab food If flying into Lisbon airport this place is great as only takes 35 mins and 4 min walk from metro better then using Uber and far cheaper. Amazing first trip to Lisbon look forward to next

I always travel solo and it so happened that I was traveling this year on my birthday. I made no point of it, but the staff noted from my passport and surprised me with a small birthday cake in my room. This was very thoughtful and appreciated.
