Peaceful place in Athens.

It’s in a pretty neighborhood only a few blocks from the tram. There are really nice restaurants nearby.

It’s a little far from the center, but the transportation helps a lot.

Absolute scam! Bait and switch, and completely ignored by the host.

I travel to Athens every year to visit my son, and this is without a doubt the absolute worst accommodation experience of my entire life. I realized I was being scammed while I was still on my way from the airport—the address was completely different from the one I had actually booked on Booking.com. I messaged the host about this immediately, but she completely ignored me and didn't reply at all. When I finally arrived at this new, fake address, I was left waiting outside in the suffocating heat for half an hour just for her to show up. After that, I was so frustrated I was seriously thinking about just booking another place on the spot. When I got inside, I was basically put in a "take it or leave it" situation. The room looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. The living conditions were genuinely appalling: there was no air conditioning and not even a simple fan to help survive the heat. Instead of the apartment I paid for, it felt like a filthy, run-down dormitory. To make matters worse, the neighbors were constantly making noise—one person was talking loudly until 1 AM, making it completely impossible to sleep. I have never stayed in such dreadful conditions in my life. I feel completely deceived. Do yourself a massive favor and avoid this place at all costs!
