Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended.

This is a little late, we stayed in January 2026:
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Serenity in the City to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and I can wholeheartedly say it was a remarkable experience! The apartment we stayed in was stunning; it felt truly luxurious, with elegant decor and all the amenities we could have hoped for.
Joe and her husband were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we made contact. Their warm hospitality significantly enhanced our stay, and we appreciated every moment.
The only regret we had was not booking an extra night to soak in more of the beauty and tranquility the apartment offered. We will definitely be returning
Highly recommended!
