Panakal Residency, Fort Kochi

Stayed longer than 3 months... The Panakal Residency is a very nice hotel with rooms and dorms at very affordable rates in the location. The moment you arrive to the check in desk, you can see the hospitality for travelers. The location has a housekeeping kitchen that might by available to utilize on request, and dining gathering table with fridge and freezer, and finally a very nice nice rooftop sitting area with golden raindrop lighting at night ensuring a relaxing environment. There are also many sites and excursions (Mattancherry Palace, Jew town/ synagogue, fish market with Chinese fishing nets :), or even the famous Kerala back waters tours) whether walking distance or a short tuk tuk/taxi rid for yourself and family. The water metro (10 - 40 ruppees) to Vypeen island or Kochi city is only a 10 min walk with many shops, stores, restaurants, and sights along the journey. The Panakal family (owner) are very kind and helpful and are on location but not seen very often due to there Marine service business. The hotel staff are quite prompt to requests and very informative of the area and different events in the area. Blinkit online ordering as well as Amazon are very helpful during your stays in india and this hotel staff have been very quick at ensuring you receive your packages and or orders :) From Birthday parties (cake/ice cream) to Anum event the owners have been very kind not just to their staff but also the guests including the current Onam Celebration in Kerala!!!!

It would be Great to have a separate kitchen area for just the guest :) , Also possibly allowance of visitors for guests that are longer stays and not just one night stay locals or travelers. A rooftop pool would be nice as well lol

The bathroom light didn't work. I mentioned it and messaged but no reply. Eventually I gave up and just used a head torch!
