Baloci

The room was large a decorated with a nice theme. The bed was really comfortable and the roll top bath was a nice touch.

The final flight of stairs were quite steep and due to the turn were tricky to manoeuvre with a suitcase.

We stayed here last year and we loved the room. Re-booking speaks volumes.

The shower needs a little more thought as the water flows onto the floor in the room we stayed in.

The hotel is comfortable, clean and well maintained. It is located in a residential area of Edgbaston on a relatively quiet street. The staff are friendly and professional. Secure off-street parking is provided.

There is no breakfast available in the hotel, although there is a very good cafe providing pastries and drinks next door. There were no staff on site after hours.

Great entrance and looks really nice at first glance.

Two things were pretty terrible- almost a deal breaker for me: 1/ there were 2 holes in the wall where people could live in the walls.. they open to darkened rooms in the walls - i was boarderline terrified and had to block these with furniture in fear that people could enter my room through these hatches, in the night - really scary. 2/ There was no way to turn the bathroom light off. i circled the room for 2 hours desperate to go to bed bug unable to as the room was filled with light. i lost 2 hours sleep, going to be at 1am, having to cover the bathroom door with towels, and it was still far too light to sleep. Somehow i eventually fell asleep, room full of light. when i awoke several hours later, the bathroom/shower-room light had finally gone off. It was pretty terrible. I tried for hours to call reception but no answer, as it was past 11pm… Also the room was freezing.
