Tribeca Hotel FiDi

It’s a hotel, was friendly staff that are helpful. The rooms were great with air-conditioning that you control the climate. It’s a small hotel and it was nice and quiet and is located near the financial District was walking distance from the Statue of Liberty view from battery Park in the Staten Island ferry also close distance to The World Trade Centre and public transportation right outside the door

The hotel, a prior college dorm, is very unique, very "downtown Tribeca cool". I had two rooms booked for my family and each room was slightly different. The floors were concrete (which didn't bother me as then I knew it could be mopped vs hotels with gross carpets), my room was larger and had a smaller bathroom (which was still a good size), my teenaged kids room had a beautiful exposed brick wall, was smaller, still a rather large room for a hotel, and their bathroom was double the size of mine (we spent the entire stay trying to figure out which room we liked better). My room was out of shampoo & the key card wouldn't work a couple of times but staff was really fast to fix the issues. The entire staff was friendly. I appreciated the small kitchen amenities of a larger fridge and microwave, especially when bringing leftovers back. Honestly, I was a bit worried as some of the reviews weren't super great but my family of four (and I get picky about hotels), agreed we'd love to stay there again on our next NYC trip. It was so handy for subway lines, and easy access to all of downtown activities. 20 minute walk to Chinatown/Little Italy, 5 mins to the world trade center complex, 15 mins to South street Seaport and the Brooklyn Bridge. If downtown is your favourite area of Manhattan: STAY HERE! TRUST ME, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! You'd have to taxi or subway if going to Times Square or 5th avenue, but still very manageable as we were up there a few times. I loved the hotel.

The Room was very dark despite the number of light switches in the room. The room was all black and at least 10 wall light switches but half did not work. Basic shampoo and conditioner in dispensers in the shower-no body lotion and none available at the front desk. We were provided with one washcloth. No coffee machine in the room but coffee was availabe in the front lobby only in the AM-no tea. Even on a 115 degree day outside no rooms are available until 3PM and no room in the lobby to cool off. There is a convenience store with tables right next door. The bed was firm and no charging port so bring a wall charger. Overall the hotel has a convenient location.

No frills but comfortable bed, clean&hot shower, fridge and microwave, cold AC. Great location, close to subway, Trinity Church and Battery Park! Great value!
