La Moderna Suites

The property was secluded and quiet and rooms were mostly well appointed with glassware and water and a few toiletries. The pool and pool area were lovely but it was raining and we could not use it.

Rooms were small and there was no blow dryer that I could find. They have an elevator, but we were stuck in it for a bit as the staff didn't know how to fix the problem. There was a refrigerator of drinks, but you needed staff to open it and there were not many staff around. The property is a close walk to the waterfront where there are options for food.

If I were to say one thing about La Moderna Suites, it’s that the staff are truly amazing. They are incredibly welcoming and communicative, and genuinely seem to care about their guests’ well-being. I arrived early for check-in and was immediately given some great lunch recommendations, along with a chilled bottle of water, while my luggage was taken care of until my room was ready. On my check-out day, I had a late train out of Málaga, and they were happy for me to stay by the pool after check-out. It was very comfortable and relaxing to spend a few hours there in the shade before heading to the station. I also think the location is excellent. It’s very close to the beach, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance in both directions. I took the bus from Málaga city centre to the hotel and then the bus back to the train station at the end of my stay, and both journeys were very easy.

I do agree with some other reviewers that the walls are a little thin so you can hear other guests, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t manage nor was it very loud. The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable, and the amenities are nice. It is a little unusual that you have to leave a deposit for a hairdryer, but that wasn’t a big issue for me. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay, and the wonderful staff, great location, and relaxed atmosphere made La Moderna Suites a really enjoyable place to stay in Pedregalejo.

The best place to stay as student at EF college in the same street. 5 minutes walk to class. Nice room with airco and modern bathroom. The manager at the desk is super nice, and he made our stay exceptional. Will definitely be back.

Everything perfect

The description and rating was somewhat misleading. This is not a luxury resort as advertised. This is a refurbished house and a 'junior suite' was a small room with a shower. The local beaches are avoided by tourists for many reasons but luckily I rented a car so was able to drive further

The courtyard with the swimming pool is on the main road which had massive roadworks done at the time. If i knew this, I would have never booked his hotel. Also, the local beach is not clean, not friendly or safe and I would not recommend for tourists
