Very Disappointed
Location
I was very disappointed with the treatment we received during our stay. I emailed the owner the day before our arrival to ask if we could check in early, as our train was arriving ahead of schedule. I received no reply. I then texted the number provided on Booking.com but again got no response.
About an hour into our journey, the owner messaged me via WhatsApp to say that the apartment we had booked had a leak and that we couldn’t stay there. This caused me significant anxiety, especially as I suffer from mental health issues and was worried we might not have anywhere to stay. Shortly after, the owner said they had another apartment available opposite the original one and sent a video of it. We agreed to stay there.
They then said they would send all the details through the Booking.com app, which I didn’t understand — I was already concerned this might be a scam. When we arrived, I tried calling the number several times but couldn’t get through. Eventually, another number texted me asking for my booking confirmation, which I sent. They said they would send the location shortly, but I didn’t receive confirmation until around three hours later.
When we finally arrived, the cleaner wouldn’t let us in, even though it was already 3:30 p.m. and check-in was meant to be at 3:00 p.m. The apartment itself was still being renovated — it looked like a building site, with paint tins left out and unfinished work everywhere. It was unacceptable.
Despite this, we had no choice but to stay, as I needed to ensure my husband, who is terminally ill, and my family had somewhere to sleep.
The evening before our departure, I received three messages via Booking.com reminding us that we had to check out by 10 a.m. or we would be charged for every half hour after that. I found this very rude, especially given how difficult it had been to contact them when we first arrived.
Looking back, I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews posted.

On the photos it is a really attractive, fresh apartment. In reality totally the opposite
Location
One of the shower head is leaking everywhere, no tv connected, no internet on the first day because no WiFi codewas provided in the apartment -had to ask separately, one of the bedroom and bathroom door couldn’t be properly closed. Wallpaper peeling off of the wall, no drapes in one of the bedroom - so you wake up with the Sun…. That particular window is somewhat damaged and the glass sticker is damaged.

Flat is neglected, needs some TLC.
Things like the wall paper coming away, flooring needs doing and taps. The stairs need to be cleaned a lot of bin bags not a nice look

We are extremely disappointed with the service we received during our recent booking. The last-minute apartment change was completely unacceptable and caused significant inconvenience to our plans.
The replacement accommodation provided was of very poor quality:
The bathroom had severe plumbing issues with inadequate drainage
The building appeared to be incomplete/under construction
These conditions significantly impacted our productivity and comfort
The substandard facilities and unprofessional handling of our booking have left us thoroughly dissatisfied with your service. Due to this poor experience, we regret choosing your company and will not be doing business with you again in the future.
Given the unacceptable conditions and failure to provide the service we paid for, we are demanding a full refund of our payment. The accommodation was not fit for purpose and did not meet basic standards.
