A place you don't simply review – but wholeheartedly recommend. ❤️ ★★★★★ We travel a lot and have stayed in many beautiful places. But sometimes you find a place that is truly special – a place where you don't feel like a guest, but almost like you are at home. That is exactly what the Valley View Studio Apartment in Salakos became for us. The apartment is beautiful, modern, lovingly furnished and decorated with an incredible attention to detail. Everything has been thoughtfully considered, combining quality, comfort and warmth. Nothing is missing. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, the bathroom is modern and spotless, and throughout the apartment you can feel that this is not simply a holiday rental, but a place created with genuine care for the people staying there. The cleanliness was exceptional. Everything was absolutely spotless and beautifully maintained when we arrived, and it remained that way throughout our entire stay. And then there is the location… ❤️ The apartment is wonderfully peaceful, situated on the edge of the enchanting mountain village of Salakos. From the terrace, you can look across the valley and mountains and simply sit, take it all in and relax. The views, the peace and the surrounding nature are truly special. At the same time, the heart of Salakos is only a few minutes away on foot. We have grown especially fond of Salakos during our stay. This small, authentic village, with its friendly people, village square, tavernas and genuine Greek way of life, was exactly what we were looking for in Rhodes. No hectic mass tourism – just authentic Greek village life, peace and warmth. The location is also perfect for exploring the island by car. What made this even more special were the personal recommendations from Milena and Kostas. They suggested wonderful places and excursions that we probably would never have discovered on our own.

Friendly owners , Costas & Melina Quiet location and wonderful views

Wir waren zwei Wochen in dem gemütlichen Apartment. Wir hatten hier eine tolle Zeit und konnten von der Unterkunft die gesamte Insel leicht erkunden. Die Gastgeber Kostas & Melina sind unglaublich herzlich und nett! Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt. Wir haben Obst & Oliven aus eigenem Anbau bekommen und der ein oder andere Ausflugstipp war natürlich auch dabei. Die Unterkunft selber war total sauber und gut ausgestattet, wenn man etwas benötigt, einfach fragen und die beiden Gastgeber können helfen. Kostas hat sogar einen unserer Schuhe geklebt ;) Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen!

Für uns war die Matratze etwas hart, das ist aber sehr subjektiv. Ein großer Esstisch auf der Terrasse hat uns ein wenig gefehlt, aber das ist nicht schlimm gewesen.

Everything was basically perfect. The location is just a short 30-minute drive from the airport. The village itself has plenty of great places to eat (there are also some grocery shops, though we didn’t need them). Everything is within about a 10-minute walk from the accommodation. The house is well equipped with everything you might need for cooking. Since we stayed in April and it was a bit chilly, we used the AC for heating, which worked well. The place is also quite spacious for two people. Our host, Kostas, was perfect — very friendly, generous, and flexible. He allowed us to check in earlier than the official time, which we really appreciated. He also brought us olives and other fruits from his garden (no need to bring your own olives!). Communication was smooth and easy via WhatsApp. The view from the porch into the valley was absolutely stunning — a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

There was nothing really wrong with the place. I wouldn’t deduct points for the slightly lower water pressure or slower Wi-Fi — that’s just part of staying in the hills of Greece.
