Herdade do Castanheiro is located just 6 minutes from Lagos and offers peace and quiet in the countryside. Wi-Fi is available. Surrounded by cork oaks and olive trees, the house features one double bed, a bathroom, and a spacious living room with a sofa, TV, and dining area. There is a refrigerator and a coffee maker, as well as cutlery and dishes. The beach is 10 minutes away, and Faro Airport is 88 km away. The spacious grounds invite you to relax in nature.
The accommodation
Our property is approximately 100000 m² in size, and we’re just a stone’s throw away from the beautiful city of Lagos and all its beaches, the marina, and much more. Herdade do Castanheiro was once a farm with (horses, cows, sheep, etc.). We’re surrounded by many very old cork oaks; we have a small orchard with orange trees, as well as fig trees, olive trees, lemon and lime trees, some grapevines, and a variety of other species. Enjoy the tranquility of rural life in the countryside.

So feel free to walk around and enjoy the scenery and nature.
We have a covered barbecue area that you can use outdoors under a parasol.

We currently have a lovely family of cows grazing on our land. Please enjoy watching them, but respect them and always keep your distance.

You’re welcome to walk around the property, but please don’t climb over fences.
Enjoy the shade under one of our 200-year-old cork oak trees and take in the natural surroundings.
Feel free to eat any of the many fruits as long as they’re ripe.
At night, you can gaze at the stars.

We’re located right on several Cyclinportugal bike trails, and this could be a great starting point or stop along your tour.
